We provide sworn translation of UK dbs certificates from English into Spanish for official use in Spain. Our translators for Spanish are Traductores Jurados, certified by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Requirements vary between authorities. We recommend confirming exact requirements with the specific authority before ordering.
Requirements differ between countries and between authorities within the same country. This page reflects what is often -- but not always -- required. Always confirm exact requirements with the specific authority before ordering.
Spain typically requires the ACRO Criminal Records Certificate (issued by the National Police Chiefs’ Council) rather than a DBS certificate for official submissions. If you are unsure which certificate you need, confirm with the receiving Spanish authority before ordering.
The ACRO certificate is separate from the DBS. You can apply for an ACRO certificate at acro.police.uk.
An apostille may also be required on the original ACRO certificate. 1Apostille.org.uk can arrange this alongside the translation.

Do you also need an Apostille?
Requirements vary -- many foreign authorities often ask for both a sworn translation and an apostille on the original document. Check with the receiving authority. Our parent service can arrange apostilles alongside your translation.
